2-day SOF workshop

152 US dollars
zoom meeting

Description

At some time or another, all of us have been in conflict with someone we love or someone significant in our lives. Perhaps it was a parent, a child, a partner, a friend, or a colleague. Whoever it was, something happened; something got in the way of the relationship. In those moments, we may argue, withdraw, or try so hard to keep the peace that we lose touch with ourselves. Even when we want to reach each other, it can be difficult to find a way. Social Oriented Focusing (SOF) invites us to slow down, sense what is happening within us, and find our way back to connection: with ourselves and with the other person. From there, we can begin to hear and speak differently, and see what new possibilities open up between us. In this experiential workshop, we will explore how to: Recognize our familiar patterns in conflict: withdrawing, moving too close, or reacting automatically. Pause and find an inner anchor when emotions run high. Sense both our own experience and what is happening between us. Meet vulnerability and protective reactions with curiosity. Express ourselves and listen to another without losing our center. Discover what becomes possible when we approach conflict from a different place. We will learn through guided SOF exercises, partner practice, and shared reflection. You are welcome to bring a conflict from your own life to explore; the other person does not need to attend. Dates and times Saturday, November 14, 2026 16:00–18:00 and 19:00–21:00 Israel time Sunday, November 15, 2026 16:00–18:00 and 19:00–21:00 Israel time There will be a one-hour break each day.
